Anthroposcope

Acrylic glass cube 40 x 40 x 30 cm, Video, endless loop. The exhibition of Anthropology of the Museum of Natural History (NHM) has been closed at the end of the 1990ies. The reason was a questionable arrangement of exponates, that was  based on a comparison of the so called "Human Races". In a documentation of the "Film Archiv Austria", the body measurements are still visible in the NHM.?Based on the question, how measurement might occur, in the era of genetics, preimplantation diagnostics and reproduction medicine , the "Anthroposcope" was designed for the pleasure to observe and measure various homunculi.
