Critical dispute with myself on the basis of my own work

With my master thesis I want to dispute my own work, which was created independent from the university, in order to get a deeper understanding of my motivations. I want to find answers to the question: Why am I doing the things, which I am doing? My own work, which I dispute, consists of creatures, which I create by painting and sewing? I documented the origination process of my work over a certain period of time by means of written notes, audio and video recordings? I try to communicate my perceived experience in an artistic way with a text and a film?
