DESIGN A VIRUS INSTEAD OF A SPACE

Augmented Reality installation

Augmented Reality installation: Samsung Galaxy Tablet, 6 posters of 2x90, unity software.
Generate architecture by designing a virus which will create mutations on a given space. The space, once infected, will experience mutations, creating a different quality of space as they occur. Architects often dismissed the analysis process of a concept, taking into account only the final result, which in this case is not relevant anymore since it holds the same value as any other intermediate stage of the mutated space.
The installation has the intention to let the audience experience the virus while it is in the process of infecting the space, and not just the final result. This is achieve by using augmented reality. A trackable wall has being set in a room representing the original space before the infection, and through the tablet we can see how as the space is infected it starts to change, demonstrating a sequence of results that won’t end until the infection is over.
