The video installation “One step at a time” explores the history of the Romanian city of Timi?oara. It evinces a literal falling into the footsteps of the revolution, which took place on the streets of the city nearly 24 years ago and which led, in part, to the fall of the communist regime. The installation tries to depict the collective memory of a generation, taking into account elective omission, a memory bias where a group (state, media, public opinion) works to forget some traumatic memories. And lastly it endeavours in the field of anger management. By looking at psychological, therapeutic techniques and exercises, it tries to develop a method based on reliving past experiences.
