Remembering Apparatus

The present invention relates to an apparatus for recording and reproducing information, which uses neither words nor numbers but personal associations. One of the specific objects to which the invention is applicable is in connection with numerous lists people compose on a daily basis (things-to-do, movies-to-watch, food-to-buy, etc.). In connection with this particular use, it has been a part of my object to provide means by which these lists can be translated with user’s personal associations into a physical system of geometrical compositions. It is well known that the to-do list applications for computers and smartphones are widely in use by some individuals, who use them not only for complex scenarios but also for some elementary grocery lists; and it is practically impossible to eliminate this abuse by the means and the methods currently in use. In this connection my invention both tends to re-use the existing elements for list making without a foreseeable limit, thus permitting elimination of energy use for storing information digitally in a cloud (Greenpeace in it’s report issued in 2011 states that the data centres and the telecommunications network that bring us the cloud, if ranked among countries, would be in the top five global energy users in the world; and yet the amount of energy consumed by the cloud is predicted to triple by 2020, as our global digital consumption is expected to increase by nearly fifty fold), and helps one to produce individual associations which can not become subjects of Internet data surveillance.
Numerous other purposes may likewise be served by the application of the principles of my invention in substantially the form herein illustrated, or in slightly modified forms, wherefore is to be understood that I claim the novel features of apparatus and combination herein disclosed for all the purposes to which they may be applicable, as well as for the specific purpose of storing information.
The characteristics of the invention are best stated in connection with a description in detail of one particular embodiment thereof. Such an embodiment, designed particularly for use in connection with making to-do lists and grocery lists, is shown in the accompanying drawings.
