Following the success of the 11th ELIA Biennial Conference in Nantes in 2010 the University of Applied Arts Vienna - Die Angewandte - hosted the 12th ELIA Biennial Conference in the MuseumsQuartier Wien, one of the world’s largest complexes for modern art and culture.

In context of the Elia conference the Art & Science department displayed its showcase at the Kunsthalle, "Ziegelfoyer": a minimal exhibition of students works along the brick wall and a composite collection with multiple contributions allocated in the interstitial space of an existing vitrine.
