Maps like face(s)

Digital Print

The work is not about reading faces.

Not about bringing together the shape of the nose with the state of mind. It’s more about looking into abstract facial expressions on search for ways we look (alike) - on the pathways of stereotypes of a grinning society.

The technique used for these prints – eyebrows (for each one, one stroke), eyes (for each one, one stroke) and the mouth (up to three strokes, following the lower lip) - is not intended to read a single face, but to create the sense of a public face that might smile back at us.
