Dreams can only be explored through narratives. While in the waking state we tend to linear trains of thoughts, guided by
a certain task or goal and following a kind of “trace”, during dreaming the brain produces far more free associations. In
this view, the waking state resembles a hunt, while the dream can be compared with an expedition.
Independent from its surroundings, the brain generates a story taking place in spaces, with players, objects, and social interactions.
The attempt to repeatedly connect dream material in ever-changing constellations based on free associations led to this idea
for a video piece.
