Self-portrait in the Lab

‘Spending some days at the Limnology Department at the Fish Ecology Group, and observing their experiments, I tried to work with materials and tools at hand (fish larvae, test glass, Alizarin red). Being there and working in the laboratory made me increasingly concerned with the meaning behind the strange feeling of me being there as an “artist”. This led me to the idea of taking some self-portrait in the lab.’ – Solmaz Farhang
