Video
The video was filmed with a hidden-camera whilst visiting a kindergarden for Syrian refugees in Kilis, Turkey, close to the Turkish / Syrian border.
The group consists of eighty children aged between two and eight, playing together as they do everyday. The artist’s intention is to show how they would behave without knowing they were being filmed. This way, their natural behaviour becomes visible to the observer.
The film shows very clearly that these very poor and traumatised children reproduce the violence they had to experience in their games and interactions.
