A display case in the process of being retrofitted
Many museums and institutes are currently concerned with the risk of deterioration induced by organic carbonyls (e.g. acetic acid, formic acid, or formaldehyde). Performing air sampling and/or material testing experiments therefore is imperative. However, the blessed S.T. – distinguished egg breeder and member of the Friends of the Natural History Cabinet Association –was invited to the current exhibition to show another approach to contamination control: one of the very last existing bioindicators from her series of experiments called „Kunstbrut 2006“. Through the change of the eggshell’s colour, a range of carbonyl pollutants can be analysed. Furthermore, it turned out that some of the eggs may be capable of absorbing CSOIDOO2427116.
