a garden for a fish
Invitation to defense and exhibition
Margit Busch will present her artistic research PhD project, a garden for a fish in the Prater, Rustenschacherallee 2-4, 1020 Vienna at Angewandte's Expositur.
The installation you will encounter is a model for a future laboratory where disciplinary boundaries dissolve and art and science go hand in hand.
The laboratory will open its doors on June 14 and will stay open until June 18. Opening hours are from 12:00 - 18:00.
The setting invites you to discover and discuss, to explore and experiment. Spontaneous activities will be offered, such as examining the microscopic world of the fish garden or the nearby Konstantinteich with a microscope, or taking a trip through time to the Biologische Versuchsanstalt, which once stood on the Praterhauptallee. You may also enjoy a cup of tea or play a game of ping pong. Margit is happy to have guests; the setting is open to your interventions - a garden continuously evolves.
The defense of the work is scheduled to start on the 17th at 11:15 a.m.
Margit Busch studied Art & Science, was awarded the Kunsthallenpreis with her Master's Project. Both works were supervised by the Head of Art & Science Department, Univ.-Prof. Virgil Widrich.
