Ethical, Legal and Societal Issues (ELSI): Dr Melanie Goisauf
Melanie Goisauf is a researcher at the Department of Science and Technology Studies and also works at BBMRI.AT. Since 2008, she has been lecturer for qualitative research methodology and theory at the Department of Sociology at the University of Vienna. Her current focus is on ELSI issues related to biobanking and related questions of governance. Her research activities include the analysis of data gathered in Citizen-Expert-Panels. Within her work at BBMRI-ERIC, Melanie is involved in conducting a Europe-wide survey to identify challenges arising from ELSI developments in biobanking.
