Cold Burn

A closeup. An inspection. An invitation.
This is what grows, if we let it happen. This is what happens, if we surrender.
Sabrina Rosina collected her tears since her research for this piece started nine months ago. The result is an archive of emotions and pain, carefully captivated by pipetting, each vessel containing the essence of a moment.

Tears can be sorted in three groups: basal, emotional and reflex. In her further analysis of the tears, Sabrina Rosina tested the theory of those classifications on crystallization properties. Showcased on a crystal-shaped sculpture are the (magnified) fractal patterns of the crystallized tears. Each sample is connected to an info chart which allows comprehensive insight into the aestheticized experiment.
They say tears burn – when it really is a cold sensation.

Cold Burn (Performance)
The artist intends to cry. She might fail. Whatever will fill the void is going to be put under the microscope for the audience to witness. Crystallization live!
I anticipate the sentence ‘I invited my therapist but she didn’t come.’
