Cultura Animi
The visual language of the Hungarian countryside has shaped how I see beauty and the virtue surrounding it has shaped the
person I have become. In order to understand the roots of my interest in bottom-up initiatives and peripheral communities,
I went back to a place where art started out for me: in the dusty conversations, intriguing anecdotes and the vibrant presence
of the people of Cered and the community around the ArtColony Cered.
Cultivation of the soul is the spirit I grew up with. I learned to create ‘off-placed’ realities, layers in which I can thrive freely without preformulated social constraints. In reflection of this work, the term ‘ANIMI’ refers to the immaterial quality of conceptual art practices and their community-building function.
