Plastic is forever II

Plastic is forever
It is all I need to please me
It can stimulate and tease me
It won’t leave in the night
I’ve no fear that it might desert me
Plastic is (almost) eternal in its refusal to decompose. But eternity can also be attained through the perpetual cycle of life and death, decay and re-synthesis of organic matter. The river and its eternal flow of water symbolizes this, as it always exists the same, yet new at every moment. In this installation, you are invited to sit and watch the plastic through the river, and the river through the plastic. Can you witness the plastic standing still and the organic matter disintegrate in the forever water flow? Will you still be alive in a thousand years?
