When it comes to the reflection of personal knowledge systems in the digital age, we need to consider the key aspects that these systems are designed around, and the fundamental impact of our physical senses on the way we create and remember knowledge, which digital tools neglect in many levels. The Cut is a part of an ongoing research about how we generate ideas, and a statement on how these ideas must be collapsed from the state of superposition of configurations that constitutes them, if we are to communicate them with others. This cut focuses on physical techniques used for managing knowledge, including their characteristics, a reasoning behind their dynamics and a record of their effect on the formation of the body of research. By exploring these aspects, The Cut manifests the intrinsic synergies within its subject matter.
