The title “The Pattern which connects” is taken out of Gregory Bateson’s book Mind And Nature: A Necessary Unity. This statement
deals with the mind and body matter in a wonderful way – a stimulus that directly interrelates science and art in this project.
This work builds a bridge between these two worlds and wants to show that the patterns that connect exist. It is a contemplation
about mutual inspiration in a scientific and artistic work.
As a composite of thousands of individual images, photomicrographs are both art and scientific methods. It’s about moving
into new dimensions, to find new patterns, to change. Human action changes the world – the effect of these changes, however,
must remain uncertain.
Perhaps the time is over when everything had to be neatly separated and categorised and we can start working on new concepts,
no matter how they might be named.
