Wound is an artificially animated object based on the idea of the relationship between human and non-human agents. Today we
are surrounded by digital and physical augmentations through our devices. A phone, a smartwatch, a car — all are personalized
prostheses of ourselves. External organs: our phones contain personal data, a car holds our body as a shell. We trust in these
objects. We often give names to these objects. What happens to us if one of these objects gets damaged or breaks down? Does
it hurt us?
A damaged hood/bonnet of a car augmented with the warmth of the human body. The warmth comes from a liquid circulated and heated in a silicone and copper tube system fixed to the bottom of the bonnet. The bonnet surface is coated with thermochromic paint. At temperatures close to the temperature of the human body, around 30°C, the paint turns transparent, making the metal seem alive.
