Space, as a form of being, can carry perception and memory—something that cannot be physically touched or fully explained, yet can still be deeply felt.

Occupied by Absence was born from the feeling of the final look a person gives to a house they are about to leave behind. A last glance at a familiar space, emptied of furniture and emptied of its inhabitants, and yet never truly empty. In that moment, every corner seems to contain a trace, a presence, or the echo of an event. Even in places where we have no personal memories, we can sometimes still sense something lingering there, as if space itself remembers.

Borrowing visual elements from Persian miniatures, this work constructs the image of an empty house in which events and stories appear like ghosts, unfolding room by room—echoes of all that a house has once held.
