09:00 | Rimon Alyagon Darr | On/Off Axis
2026, Installation Vordere Zollamtsstraße 7, 4th floor, B11-B12 Supervisor: Univ-Prof. Virgil Widrich
The way we experience the world is shaped by the materials we work with. What happens when we perceive a material through adifferent sense? This interdisciplinary research sets out to answer this question by looking at the specific case of glassblowing. It examines how sonifying glass movement in the hotshop changes skills and behaviors.
How does it feel to hear glass and what kind of movement does it generate? You are invited to experience it for yourself through the interactive parts of the installation, observe it by looking at sculptures and videos of the glassblowing process, and reflect on it through data analysis and videos of the work process, with and without sound.
09:30 | Dejan Markovic | Shame on me
2026, Film
Oskar-Kokoschka-Platz 2, Schwanzer Trakt, 2nd Floor, STAR7
Supervisor: Univ-Prof. Virgil Widrich
Shame is both a symptom and a mechanism of structural power. It disciplines, punishes, and organizes social relations, shaping who is valued, who is visible, and who is expendable. Recognizing this dynamic offers a radical possibility; by interrogating and redirecting shame, we can destabilize hierarchies, reclaim autonomy over our bodies and narratives, and cultivate modes of visibility that empower rather than punish. In a world increasingly defined by exposure, freedom lies not merely in what is seen, but in who controls the gaze.
In this film, I take on the shame of others. After collecting anonymous confessions, I travel from unresolved childhood trauma to the discovery of sexuality, facing abuse and learning the power of shame across five different stories.
10:00 | Anna Buchner | Philosophical Physics: Reconnecting Leib and Körper through Allegorical Reading .jpg)
2026, performative Installation
Oskar-Kokoschka-Platz 2, Ferstel Trakt, Untergeschoß, Keramikstudio
Supervisor: Univ-Prof. Virgil Widrich
10:30 | Jiun-You Ou | (Inter)Section

2024–26, Multimedia-Installation, *(not present at Festival)
Art & Science Seminar Room (No. 044)
Supervisors: Univ.-Prof. Virgil Widrich,
Sen.Art. Dipl.-Ing. Dr. techn. Nicolaj Kirisits
If a field can only be accessed through a specific interface, what can be known?
(Inter)Section is an artistic research project that has been developed using an ongoing sonic-spatial method since 2024. What appears here specifically derives from experiments, fieldwork, and subsequent research in an Alpine braidplain. Moving from methodology to epistemology, the research shifts its focus away from representation, pointing to a sectional perception of interwoven temporality, spatiality, and materiality.
