About - Daniela Brill Estrada

Daniela is a PhD candidate at the Art x Science School for Transformation at the Johannes Kepler University, Linz, and the University for Applied Arts, Vienna. In her research, Daniela is looking into the connection of art-science research and protest, specially into processes that challenge the medical system. Daniela's project is supervised by Univ.-Prof. Virgil Widrich and Martin Reinhart at the Art and Science department, and by Univ.-Prof. Dr. Elisabeth S.C. Berger at the Institute of Entrepreneurship at the JKU.

Daniela is an artist in residence at the SETI Institute with the Cosmic Consciousness Program, and an artist in residence at the Banerjee lab of biocondensates physics at the university at Buffalo with the COALESCE center for biological arts.

Together with Monica C.Lo Cascio, Daniela is an artist in residence at the ARTlab Nottingham.

Daniela was the research assistant for the project DIGI-Sense, led by Claudia Schnugg at the JKU, Linz, in 2022 and 2023.

Daniela co-curated the exhibition "They say Identity: We say Multitude" with Ale Zapata, at Improper Walls, taking place in November 2024.
