Lilian Kaufmann

Lilian’s purpose in life is, most of the time, to make the space they’re in a noisier space. Not necessarily with their drumming, also with laughter and their very stubborn way of discussing things. With their biotechnology master’s degree (it’s Diplom-Ingenieurin in Austria, which is allegedly very important for Austrians) they want to overgrow the earth with moss and mushrooms. Synergies and symbiosis’ are their gist.

Lilian was nominated to present a work created outside Art & Science class to the Jury for the BOKU Nachhaltigkeitspreis.

The presentation of the new material based on waste bacterial cellulose from kombucha production blended with walnut will take place on Wednesday, 16 November 2022, 15:00–17:00 at TÜWI.
