Lucie B. B. David grew up in Hamburg, Germany. She completed her Bachelor Studies in German and French Literature and Cultural Studies at the Freie Universität in Berlin and Sorbonne-Nouvelle in Paris. She worked at the research Institut Centre Marc Bloch in Berlin for two years. Her artistic work proposes new approaches to the definition of aesthetics and failure while her academic research is focused on the period of national-socialism in France and Germany and the questions of remembrance within it.
