Michael Bachhofer (b. 1976, Austrian mountai) studied electrical engineering at the University of Technology in Graz and Biology / ethno-medical ecology at the University of Vienna. During his studies of Art & Science at the University of Applied Arts Vienna, he spent one year overseas at the Tokio University of the Arts.
