*’self-portrait in slices’ *is a series of flip books. The simple, toylike character of the works contrasts modern technology as well as the pathos of the classical artistic self-portrait. The series points towards a novel answer to the question, Who am I? and implies the challenge of conceptualizing ourselves in an environment of ongoing scientification.
