The way we experience the world is shaped by the materials we work with. What happens when we perceive a material through adifferent sense? This interdisciplinary research sets out to answer this question by looking at the specific case of glassblowing. It examines how sonifying glass movement in the hotshop changes skills and behaviors.

How does it feel to hear glass and what kind of movement does it generate? You are invited to experience it for yourself through the interactive parts of the installation, observe it by looking at sculptures and videos of the glassblowing process, and reflect on it through data analysis and videos of the work process, with and without sound.
