Outlines of absence, contours of presence
1st Year students exhibition, part of the Angewandte Festival
For the Angewandte Festival 2021, the 1st Year students of the Art & Science Department are showing their works in the group exhibition Outlines of absence, contours of presence
Open from 29 June to 2 July

Art & Science
Salzgries 14,
2d Floor, 1010 Vienna
The first-year students of Art & Science present works stemming from a year-long encounter with MedAustron, a centre for ion
therapy in Lower Austria. Driven by notions of traces and invisible forces, the exhibition distinguishes each individual’s
grappling with the encounter. Inspired from visits to the particle accelerator and ongoing conversations with its team, a
collaborative spirit is also apparent as the students looked to one another for support and growth throughout the experience.
