"Old Wounds" explores the inner conflict of dealing with painful memories. It highlights the tension between the desire to
let the past rest and the need to confront it time and again.
While distance can offer protection, completely shutting something out carries the risk of repression. The aim here is to
make this ongoing process visible: memory remains linked to pain, yet it changes over time and through repetition. This gives
rise to a form of acceptance that does not lie in forgetting, but in consciously engaging with painful memories.
