About - Mauritius Itzinger
Mauritius Itzinger (b. 1999, Vienna) studied Philosophy (University of Vienna) and Technical Physics (TU Vienna). In the field
of tension between linguistic argumentation and mathematical reasoning, he hoped to find a way to describe the truth and reality
of the world. In the course of his studies, he became increasingly aware of the difficulties involved in such a description.
In addition to his academic career, Mauritius Itzinger has been working as a freelancer for the Volkstheater since 2019. During
this time, he had the opportunity to creatively contribute to various events (Summer Night Concert, Prater Picnic, ÖAMTC,
Kurier...) and to take on decorative tasks. With his artistic work, he wants to process his understanding of physical phenomena
and ways of describing them on the one hand, and point out the epistemological problems of science on the other.
