Visit to Ars Electronica Festival 2025 Linz
Ars Electronica Festival 2025
During this year’s excursion to the Ars Electronica Festival, we began with a visit to the Campus Exhibition, where we explored “Encaged Freedom” by Mehrta and David, two students from the current class who exhibited their work at the festival.
Students explored the full Theme Exhibition, which also served as preparation for the upcoming guest lecture by Manuela Naveau, the curator of this year’s exhibition. Noor introduced her exhibited work “MycoGravity”, created in collaboration with Amir Bastan, offering insight into the artistic and research processes behind the project.
Following these shared highlights, the remainder of the day was open for students to navigate the festival independently. With a wide range of exhibitions, performances, and talks. Students were encouraged to visit the rest of the Campus Exhibition and the PRIX Exhibition at the Lentos Museum.
In the evening, there was the option to attend the official festival opening at St. Mary’s Cathedral, rounding off the day with one of the festival’s central public events.
