Collaborative Exhibition Making visits AIL: 03: Soil

Students of the Collaborative Exhibition Making course visited the exhibition 03: Soil – Between (De-)Composition and (Re-)Construction in the Climate Crisis at AIL (Angewandte Interdisciplinary Lab). The exhibition comes out of a site-specific research project in a subalpine ecological laboratory in the Stubai Valley, bringing together artists and researchers around soil and drought.

We used the visit to look at exhibition-making from different angles: the experience of a visitor, the technical and spatial installation, and the curatorial, textual and design choices behind it. It was a first exchange for the students to start thinking about how they want to shape their own exhibition.
