Excursion: Burgtheater
Our classes will often take place outside of the classroom (as most knowing does). This semester’s first class visit was generously
hosted by costume designer Cédric Mpaka. Cédric shared his experiences and expertise in costume design with us, taking the class behind the scenes of one of his
many workplaces: this time Vienna’s Burgtheater.
Cédric’s good friend and colleague and the dramaturgist Andreas Karlaganis also popped by to share some words with us too just before we saw his beautiful interpretation of a classic: Shakespeare’s Midsummer Night’s Dream.
