The juxtaposition between myself and a component so essential for the unhindered functionality of my body has intrigued me through all the time I spend sitting and working with this protein called calcineurin. Repetitively touching and navigating the landscapes of its surface, I discovered my understanding for this entity crossing layers of translation through abstraction, physicality and temporality. The fetishisation of representation in naturecultural practices hinders movement, so I fold.
