Colour is one of the most immediate and powerful elements of visual experience. The Art & Science Department presents “I'm abundant, yet scarce.”, an exhibition exploring a myriad of approaches to colour - some literal, some metaphorical. As part of a historical cellar system beneath the surface of Vienna’s first district, the exhibition space itself is a unique site. This invites visitors to interact with their surroundings and further reflect on the topics explored in the exhibition. Coming from different backgrounds - some artistic, some scientific - the artists have all responded to one word: colour. What has emerged from these different strands of experiences is an exhibition that presents the abstract, yet tangible. The abundant, yet scarce.

Description of works and participating artists in English and in German.

The preparation of this exhibition was supported by Noor Stenfert Kroese and Martin Reinhart in their classes as well as by Valerie Deifel, Virgil Widrich, fellow students, and Dominika Li from the gallery Minuszwei.

The exhibition participates in the Angewandte Festival.

The venue is in a basement and is not barrier-free, we’re happy to assist where possible.
